(Sedona, AZ)- Verde Valley Leadership is pleased to announce a first of its kind event in the Verde Valley, the Inaugural Verde Valley Leadership Summit, celebrating community leadership. This event will be held on Friday April 13, 2012 at 6:00pm in the Cottonwood Recreation Center. It will include a wine & hors d’oeuvres reception, Keynote speaker, and the first ever, Verde Valley Leadership awards for an adult and youth leader in the community.
The Keynote Speaker will be Richard Morrison. Mr. Morrison is a native of Arizona and grew up in Gilbert. He is a published author, lawyer, priest and ethicist. His current research focuses on social ethics of a person less concerned with individual comfort and more concerned with the common good. Mr. Morison will present a motivational keynote presentation that is not to be missed by any professional, business owner, representative, or future leader in the Verde Valley.
The Verde Valley Leadership Inaugural Summit has been created as not only a fund-raising opportunity for the non-profit, but also to highlight exemplary leadership in the Verde Valley. This event will celebrate leadership, showcase opportunities for involvement and “inspire individuals to action” as their Vision statement reads. The event will highlight a wine tasting at the beginning of the evening featuring four local wineries: Alcantara, Oak Creek Vineyards, Javelina Leap, and Page Springs Vineyards. The wine tasting will include choices picked specifically for this event. Guests will enjoy the opportunity to taste wine, hear from the vineyards directly, and make wine purchases if so desired. Thyme & Again will cater Hors d’oeuvres, with a focus on local produce and fresh ingredients.
